My First Five (Zac): Europe - The Final Countdown

Much like "Jump" on Van Halen's 1984, I really really loved the opening synth part on "The Final Countdown." I suppose that explains my life-long love of awesome synth sounds. This is another album that I can't really remember past a couple songs. "Carrie" was another single, a massive power ballad type thing. And yeah, I liked that one too. It's easy to look back and scoff at these guys, but hey, good songs are good songs, you know. It's easy to get caught up on a band's image or style and instantly dismiss them. That's something I keep trying to overcome. But man, I really do still hate hip-hop and hippies.
