July 13th 400 Bar | July 15th 1st Ave/7th Entry

We'd like to thank everyone who came out to see us this week! We had two great shows in Minneapolis.

On Thursday we played at the 400 Bar in-between Espionage! and The Moaners. We were really impressed with Espionage! and their ninja/Splinter Cell uniforms, not to mention their hand-clappin', spaz dancin' good tunes. Sort of like a more electronic Franz Ferdinand/Block Party vibe, with black body-suits and lasers on their heads. Really nice dudes too.

The Moaners were equally awesome with their no foolin' hard rock attack. They're two women playing loud guitars and louder drums. Speaking if which, the drummer is fantastic! Overall they sort of felt like a distorted Haley Bonar with John Bonham on drums. That song where the drummer played drums and guitar at the same time is still stuck in my head.

We played the Entry on Saturday. This was a very last-minute booking, but any band would be foolish to not drop everything to play there. The second band didn't show. See? Idiots! Nevertheless, it was a great night for us. There were more people then we expected and the sound (just like at the 400) was super. We felt bad that most of us had to split right after our set, but it had been a very long and very hot weekend. Plus I really felt like crud (physically speaking) right after our set.

Both shows went really well for us, and the staff at both venues could not have been nicer. We sold a bunch of CDs and met some great people in the crowd. The best part was having so many of our friends come out and show their support.

Keep an eye on the web site for more updates. We've got a bunch of confirmed shows with more in the works. Things are moving very fast for us, and we hope you can keep up!

See you next time.
