The Surfactants would like to thank everyone who came out and voted for us last night. Despite all the buzz we heard after our set, even from people that weren't there to see it in person, we didn't win. To be honest, we never really thought we would. We're just not your average looks-before-substance kind of band. Nevertheless, we were surprisingly disappointed.

Seeing our friends at our shows really does make all the difference in the world to us. It's great to see a few familiar faces in the crowd. We play for you guys, not to win some popularity contest.

We hope you'll check us out at one of our upcoming shows, the next of which is at The Red Sea on Saturday August 19th. It's another early show, so you'll have more time to get ripped with us after our set at the end of the night. Keep an eye on our web site for many more shows in the coming months.
